Open Studios is an artist led collaboration and it is only successful when all artists do their share.
All artists have to do one session of invigilating at the taster exhibition. This is usually three and a half hours. Most artists find this interesting.
All artists also have to deliver fifty copies of the Open Studios Directory in an area close to their home, studio or work.
Artists taking part at the reduced rate (Voluntary rate) agree to do half a days work (4 hours) as payment-in-kind. This can be carried out either throughout the festival or later in the year. Mostly we ask for help from people with organisational skills or we ask them to use their time to distribute our monthly magazine.
